Community Outreach
Our firm aims to be a champion of community outreach, since we understand the value of re-investing in the communities we serve. Below, you will find some of the ways our staff invests their time and resources in those communities.
United Way of Lane County (“United Way”)
United Way aims to prepare children to succeed in school and life, move families from poverty to financial stability, ensure people have access to all they need to live a healthy life, and promote a culturally-diverse community. Lourdes proudly serves as a board member of United Way.
The John G. Shedd Institute for the Arts (“The Shedd Institute”)
The Shedd Institute, located in Eugene, OR, hosts an array of performing arts, such as plays and concerts. The Shedd Institute also offers music classes, which includes private lessons. Currently, Lourdes proudly serves as a board member of The Shedd Institute.
Rose Children’s Theatre (“RTC”)

RTC has been serving children and families in the greater Eugene and Springfield area for more than 37 years. Its aim is to reach and inspire children who have the dream to perform on the stage, build family relationships, and to provide the community with top quality children’s theater. Lourdes proudly sponsored RTC’s first bilingual musical theater summer camp (English/Spanish), which was led by Buena Vista teacher, Ricardo Llamas.
Fiesta Cultural 2017-2018

Fiesta Cultural is Lane County’s largest annual celebration of Latinx arts and culture. This initiative is lead by Lane Arts Council, which aims to create opportunities for inclusion through the arts by engaging the community in welcoming multicultural programs and events through highlighting the rich diversity of Latinx arts, culture and heritage in Lane County. Lourdes is a proud sponsor of Fiesta Cultural.
Noche Cultural 2017-2018

Noche Cultural is a celebration of the history, traditions, and folklore of Mexico. It is a gathering meant to celebrate both family and community. This year’s event, which was held at Willamalane in Springfield, OR, featured horsemanship and roping, folkloric dancing, and traditional music. Lourdes is a proud sponsor of Noche Cultural.
Centro Latino Americano (“Centro”)

Centro is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1972 to meet the needs of Mexicano immigrant families in Lane County. Centro empowers Latino families by providing opportunity and building for a stronger community. Currently, our associate attorney Martie serves on the board of directors. In the past, Lourdes has served on the board of directors.
F.C. Cougars

F.C. Cougars is a men’s soccer team located in Eugene/Springfield, OR that plays in the liga unida. During the season, games are played each Sunday at Bob Keefer Field in Springfield, OR. This past season, F.C. Cougars made it to the playoffs. Lourdes has proudly sponsored F.C. Cougars for several years and our associate attorney Apolinar plays on the team.
Eugene Timbers Fútbol Club (ETFC)
ETFC is a soccer club that is comprised of committed coaches to improve the environment for competitive players in Eugene and Springfield area. Its aim is to advance a player’s individual and team skills, in order to, foster player development, both on and off the field. Our associate attorney Apolinar is currently an assistant coach for ETFC.
